The azaleas are in peak bloom and this gorgeous spring weather has me dining al fresco almost every day. If you’re like me you’re also drinking al fresco. 

Maybe it’s the sunshine or the hope in the air with vaccines, but I’m inspired to try (and make) a bigger variety of cocktails this season. Hopefully, I can share them with some friends, too. 

Here are some cocktails to try out at bars and restaurants this weekend, plus new local margarita kits.

For The Love of Margaritas

This locally-owned small business is offering up jarred margarita mix — just add the tequila. Choose from a variety of margarita flavors changing often, like pomegranate lime and pineapple ginger. Check out For The Love of Margaritas.

Ceviche’s El Conejito

In early April, Ceviche’s shared a photo of this fun cocktail made with locally-distilled Blue Shark Vodka. The El Conejito has freshly squeezed lime and pineapple juice and homemade spicy simple syrup. 

End of Days Castle Street Mojito

End of Days Distillery showed off this fun rum drink, announcing their popular Castle Street Mojito is now available as a strawberry mint mojito. Enjoy their Port of Entry Rum, fresh strawberries, mint, and raw sugar.

Grand Cru’s Empress Gin Fizz

For a burst of floral character, Grand Cru is mixing up “The Empress Gin Fizz,” with fresh lemon juice and Empress Gin.

Coast’s Every Rose Has Its Thorn
