One of the best parts of Valentine’s Day in the Port City is the flutter of special menus all over town. Just perusing all the options will give you FOMO and you may want to make multiple reservations to get these once-a-year dishes. While there are dozens of special menus out there for V-day, we wanted to share with you a roundup of prix fixe menus. For one set price you can get multiple courses with your date and some with wine pairings included. Reservations are typically required or recommended for these events, so book today!
The Second Glass
Head to the South Front District for a five-course dinner for $85 or $140 for the additional wine pairings. Start with oysters or blinis, move on to Watercress salad, then pork belly or mushroom en croute. Finally enjoy lamb osso bucco over polenta or butternut squash moussaka, or local fish with mushroom bread pudding. Caprice Bistro
This French bistro always pulls out the stops for Valentine’s Day in one of the coziest locations. Find a prix fixe menu of starters and entrées from escargot, charcuterie and lobster bisque to lamb shank cassoulet. Dessert is a selection of homemade treats. Dinner is $55 per person, reserve here.
Floriana
Northern Italian-style restaurant Floriana has a five-course Valentine’s Day menu. For $85 a person, the menu moves from scallops and fried green tomatoes to soup and salad, pasta, entrées and then dessert. Enjoy choices of seafood ravioli, bistecca pappardelle, beef braciola, swordfish puttanesca, wild mushroom risotto, and more. But the best course? Seabird
Enjoy Seabird’s four-course Valentine’s prix fixe menu for $85 a person, plus additional wine pairings. The selections start off with a choice of warm vichyssoise or salad Lyonnaise, lobster corndogs or mushroom and truffle terrines, and finally halibut in parchment paper or Colfax Creek Porchetta. East Oceanfront Dining will host four-course meals on Feb. 10, 11, and 14th. Chef Jessica Cabo created a menu with Beausoleil oysters, deconstructed beef Wellington, chocolate domes, and more. Blue Surf Café at Arboretum West
For $95 per couple, enjoy a four-course dinner at Blue Surf Café. Start with shareable appetizers like pork belly or a butter board. From there, pick from choices of soups and salads before enjoying pan-fried chicken or charred shrimp.
