Five of Our Favorite Local Wilmington Businesses

It's time to shoutout some of our favorite local Wilmington businesses! Have you visited any of these iconic local staples?

As we continue into our new realm of “normal” it’s important to bring attention to small businesses that have been affected by this pandemic. Here at Arth Real Estate Group, we are all about our local community and supporting small businesses within the community!

Today, we are showcasing some of our favorite businesses here in Wilmington:

1. Love, Lydia Bakery

If you haven’t been to Lydia’s down in the South Front District, then you are truly missing out on some of the best baked goods and local coffee you could have! Due to COVID-19, hours are limited and pick-up ordering is king to get your hands on some amazing brunch-style foods and delicious bakery items.

Between the wonderful food, staff, and eclectic atmosphere – Love, Lydia’s is one of our favorites to stop in and grab a quick coffee or snack to get through our day!

2. Lucky Star Faux Finishes

One of the best decorative painters in our area comes from Lucky Star Faux Finishes, who offer services to overhaul your chosen space! Whether it be commercial or residential, interior or exterior, they will work with you.

Quality work and customer service are the prime focus at Lucky Star and providing custom faux finishes in faux leather, wood grain, distressed and painted furniture. Using high quality paint and products, Lucky Star can elevate any space to the next level.

3. ArtWorks Artists

Another highlight to the South Front District and showcasing local artists and the fantastic work that you can see at the ArtWorks – and now virtually given the current climate. Add decor to your space in the form of oils, sculptures, glass art, jewelry, and a plethora of other art mediums. Some of the best art can be found locally and in support of the community!

While we have been sequestered to our homes, many of our favorite artists have been unable to showcase their work in their studio spaces, but thankfully we can shed some light on all these amazing artists – check out this link to see all the ArtWorks artists and be taken to their individual sites and find your next piece of art.

4. Lefler Design Studio

If you’re in the market for custom artisan jewelry, then Lefler Design Studio is the local business to check out! With a storefront within the artworks, Terri Lefler also has a great Etsy presence to showcase her talents and products.

Taking time to understand the process behind jewelry, at Lefler Design the synergy created by the careful melding and manipulation of individual elements, is what sets these artisan pieces apart.

Creating jewelry with intriguing geometric shapes and embracing a connection among the individual items that is better than the item individually on its own makes her jewelry beautiful and unique.

5. The Fork n Cork

Located in Historic Downtown Wilmington, The Fork n Cork is an industrial space that caters to one of the best menus out of the many restaurants within Wilmington. While the restaurant is still open to take-out orders in the current climate, make sure to order the Texas Poutine — you’re welcome in advance!

You cannot go wrong with any choice on the menu, and we are counting down the days until we can be in the space and enjoy the ambiance surrounding the Fork n Cork.

While we continue to navigate this unknown terrain, make sure to continuously be in support of your favorite local businesses, no matter what area you live in – share the love and keep the small businesses alive!
