Take a leisurely cruise around downtown Wilmington, stopping at all the best spots the city has to offer thanks to a newly launched FREE Port City Trolley.
Known as the Port City Trolley, this is the brainchild of several movers and shakers involved with downtown businesses who wanted to connect the Castle Street and South Front neighborhoods to the other parts of downtown in 2018.
The result is a 40-minute route that loops through five business neighborhoods — the North waterfront, Brooklyn Arts district, central business area, Castle Street and South Front.
Because the trolley runs from the morning through the evening, it makes it a perfect option for parking in one area and then grabbing drinks and bites in other areas. You can bar hop, restaurant hop or travel around shopping easily.
The trolley also connects the newly constructed LaRue Urban Living townhomes in the South Front District to the rest of downtown. It’s a two-minute walk from LaRue to the nearest trolley stop.
