We rounded up some of the prix fixe menus restaurants are hosting as a special Valentine’s Day treat, including one restaurant sending you home with an at-home DIY kit.
The Second Glass
In true Second Glass fashion, the menu is four courses, each paired with wine. Jump from shrimp bisque to a salad, to a choice of lamb shank or vegetable ravioli. Finish with a dark chocolate mousse with biscotti and a cherry ganache.Â
Caprice Bistro
Caprice has a menu fit for a postcard from France. Entree options on the three-course menu include pan-seared duck breast in confit; lamb cassoulet; beef short ribs; waterzooi or salmon en route.
Blockade Runner
Chef Jessica Cabo’s Valentine’s Day menu gets right to the heart of what you want on a special day — lobster. Choose between a steamed lobster over potatoes and broccolini, surf-n-turf, or a lobster pot pie.
True Blue Butcher and Table
True Blue is sending you home with a date night dinner DIY kit. There are two package options that include oysters from Topsail’s N. Sea Oyster Co., flowers from Mother of Wild, 2 True Blue 6 oz. filets with house seasoning, sauce, and clarified beef fat, vegetables, potato roasties kit, locally-made Mon Ame Chocolates, and wine.
Sweet n Savory
The Sweet N Savory menu is four courses with so many choices you may just have to order twice.
Bridge Tender
This three-course menu will fill you up with a choice of a chile-crusted filet, butternut squash gnocchi, or salmon.
Spoonfed Kitchen and Bakeshop
Spoonfed has three menus to choose from for Valentine’s Day. Choose from a family-style menu or two prix fixe menus.
